Jim Mather MSP to launch "Acquiring Business for Good"

9 Dec 2008

Venue: Brodies LLP, 15 Atholl Crescent, Edinburgh, EH3 8HA

Type: non SSEC event

Tuesday 9th December 2008, registration from 10am

This year Social Firms Scotland is using their AGM to launch a pioneering initiative, supported by the Big Lottery Fund, which could offer an alternative route to developing new Social Firms. The aim of the project, which will run over the next 3 and a half years, is to support more people who are currently excluded from the labour market into employment, by acquiring businesses and converting them to Social Firms. They are delighted to welcome Jim Mather MSP, Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism, to formally launch the “Acquiring Business for Good” project.
