Changes afoot at SSEC

Thursday 10th March 2018, 14:03

There have been a few changes here at SSEC in recent weeks, which we thought you should all know more about.

Tan RaufGoodbye to old friends…

This week we bid a fond farewell to Tanwir Rauf, who has been part of the SSEC team for more than 8 years. Tan's departure has been one of the results of  essential restructuring that we have had to make in light of our current funding difficulties. The remaining team will do everything we can to ensure that we support our members, and are sad to see Tan go. We know that he has lots of plans afoot so are sure that this isn’t the last that we, and SSEC members, will hear of him. We really do wish him well in his future endeavours.

We also bid a fond farewell to the following people who are no longer part of our Trustee Board – thanks for all of your work over the years!

  • Ken Barker
  • Trisha Bennett
  • Dawn Grant
  • Ariaf Hussain
  • Lee Ling
  • Marian McGuinness
  • Peter Smith
  • John Stevens
  • Edward Watts

…and hello to new!

At our Conference and AGM our members elected four new trustees, who we are looking forward to working with:

  • Sue Gorbing
  • Anthony Kollie
  • Mike Phillips
  • Joe Taylor

We'll write a bit more about each of the new board members soon, so watch this space.
